    TSUNAMI Non-Competitive Swim Team

    Our non-competitive swim team introduces the sport of swimming to kids ages 4-13. As the weeks progress, we'll start on basic strokes and breathing techniques and work towards more advanced strokes. We use different teaching tools like noodles and kickboards to make instruction fun and low-key. Our swim team programs are designed to be fun, safe, educational, and encouraging.

  • Private swim lessons at The Governor's Club

    Private Swim Lessons

    Our one-on-one private swim lessons are designed to cater to the swimmer's individual needs. We have no set lesson plans. We assess the swimmer and create the lessons around them. We aim to get the swimmer swimming in as little time as possible.

    Private Swim Lessons are conducted at The Bridge Bar pool.

What You Need To Know About Swim Team

Here is what you need to know about this summer's non-competitive swim team.

  • Click on the button in the above section that says "Sing-up for swim team." That button will redirect you to a form to fill out.

    Once you fill out the form, no other action is needed. A reminder email will go out reminding parents about tryouts.

    Tryouts will be on:

    Invoices will be sent out after tryouts.

    Note: If your swimmer has participated in past swim teams with The Grove, no tryout is needed. Your swimmer will automatically be added to the roster.

  • • Ages 4yrs - 13yrs

  • Your swimmer(s) must be able to at least swim, with or without a kickboard, the length of the Bridge Bar pool which is 25 yards. If your swimmer is not quite there and not ready for swim team, we will recommend private swim lessons with the possibility of your swimmer(s) joining the swim team later in the season.

  • Yes! We'll hold tryouts on:

    Note: Your swimmer does not need to try out if they have swam for the Tsunami swim team in the past.

  • • The season starts the day after try outs on TBD and ends on TBD, with a swim meet and awards party on TBD.

    • No practices the week of July 4th.

  • • Tuesdays, Wednesdays, & Thursdays

    • The practices will be split into age groups. Ages 4-6 will practice 4-5 pm; Ages 7 and up will practice 5-6 pm.

  • • There is a flat rate of $400 per swimmer for the entire season. The price includes a “Tsunami” logo beach towel and the expense for the swim meet and awards party.

  • • Absolutely! At the end of the season, we'll have a fun, low-key swim meet along with an end-of-season party! The party will include a DJ, food, cake, prizes, awards, and games.

  • • Bridge Bar Pool

  • • Swimsuit, towel and goggles.

  • • Occasionally, practice will be canceled for inclement weather or circumstances beyond our control. There are no makeup days for canceled practices.

  • • Unfortunately, there are no refunds for swim teams.

  • Yes! We understand that occasionally, you’ll have to miss a practice. Just know that there are no refunds for missed practices.
