Our Coaches: The Best in the Industry
At Worden Aquatics, our coaches are among the best in the field. Each new coach undergoes a rigorous vetting process that includes extensive shadowing with one of our experienced veteran swim instructors. This ensures they meet our high standards for swim instruction and safety.
Many of our coaches hold multiple aquatic certifications, such as Lifeguarding (LG), First Aid/CPR/AED, LGI, WSI, CPO, and WSIT. These credentials reflect our commitment to providing top-quality instruction and maintaining a safe environment for all swimmers.
Safety First: We conduct comprehensive background checks, including sex offender and criminal database screenings, on all of our coaches.
Coach Lauren | Founder & Managing Partner | Private Swim Lessons Coach | LG
With 31 years of experience in the aquatic world, Lauren Worden is a seasoned professional. Her extensive qualifications include Water Safety Instructor (WSI), Lifeguard Instructor (LGI), Lifeguard, First Aid/CPR/AED Instructor, and Multiple Sclerosis Aquatic Instructor (MS Society).
Lauren's accomplishments are remarkable, including coaching a Gold, Silver, and Bronze medalist in the 1999 Special Olympics. As a mother, she deeply understands the importance of swimming for a child's enjoyment and a parent's peace of mind.
Whether working with infants, seniors, or anyone in between, Lauren excels at reducing anxiety and instilling a love for the water. Her gift for teaching and passion for swimming make her a standout instructor, capable of working with swimmers of all skill levels.

Coach “D” | Private Swim Lessons Coach | WSI | CPO | LG
Originally from Cuba, Coach D began her journey in competitive swimming at the age of 10. In 1994, she earned a degree in Physical Sports and Culture with a specialization in swimming. During her time in Cuba, she spent a decade as a diving and swim instructor. After moving to Florida in 2007, Coach D launched her own swim school. When her husband’s job brought them to Tennessee, she continued her passion for teaching swimming.
Coach D holds certifications in Lifeguarding (LG), Water Safety Instruction (WSI), and Pool Operations (CPO). She works with swimmers as young as six months old, offering her lessons in both English and Spanish. Currently, Coach D teaches year-round at our Nashville location at Boost FitClub.
We are incredibly grateful to have Coach D on our team, bringing her vast expertise and passion for swimming to Worden Aquatics.

Coach Courtney | Private Swim Lessons Coach | WSI
Courtney has always loved being in and around the water! She started swim lessons at 3 years old and has over 10 years of competitive swimming experience with Nashville Aquatic Club. She also enjoys volunteering with the Nashville Dolphins and working with swimmers to build their confidence in the water while having fun.
Courtney is a rising senior at Harpeth Hall and plans to swim in college. She is excited to share her passion for swimming with others and to promote improvement in swimming skills in a safe and supportive environment!

Coach Rachael | Private Swim Lessons Coach | LG
Coach Rachael fell in love with swimming when she was five years old. She has twenty years of competitive swimming experience. Coach Rachael swam for the US Masters team for a year and loved every minute of it. She has several years of experience as a swim coach and lifeguard. When Coach Rachael is not with her husband and two young kiddos, she spends her time exercising and swimming. She encourages any person she meets on the importance of learning how to swim. Coach Rachael looks forward to using her skills to help others learn how to swim.

Coach Kyndall has a personal love and passion for swimming and Lifeguarding. She has spent five years teaching swim lessons, six years lifeguarding, and two years being an assistant swim coach. She competitively swam for several years. She holds various American Red Cross certifications, such as Water Safety Instructor (WSI), Lifeguard Instructor (LGI), Waterfront Skills, Lifeguarding with CPR/AED/First Aid, Administering Emergency Oxygen, Asthma inhaler Training, and Coaching. She spent countless hours and days investing in her passion for being an instructor and lifeguard. Seeing swimmers and parents smile when they overcome their fear brings Coach Kyndall joy.

Coach Lori | Private Swim Lessons Coach | WSI
Coach Lori is familiar with teaching! She's been working as an educator for most of her life, with over twenty-five years of experience working with children with special needs from kindergarten through 5th grade. As a former skydiving instructor, she's also no stranger to teaching adults.
Coach Lori excels at finding each individual's motivating factor and using that to create special bonds. That ability allows her to form unique, lasting relationships with the people she works with.
Coach Lori began swimming at age two and hasn't looked back. With her son going off to college, she has decided to further pursue her lifelong love of the water and swimming by sharing that love with others.
She firmly believes that one should have a firm grasp on ALL of the safety factors to embrace ALL of the fun!

Coach Amanda | Private Swim Lessons Coach | Swim Team Coach | LG
Amanda is a current Division 1 swimmer born and raised in Franklin. She started her swimming career on a neighborhood summer league team at age 9. She joined Excel Aquatics at age 13, where she grew her swimming abilities and qualified for the southeastern conference meet all 4 years.
Amanda started to teach private swim lessons in her neighborhood at age 15. She helped coach younger children at Excel Aquatics as well. Amanda also helped grow the Independence High School swim team during her two years as team captain. She was a 4-time state qualifier in high school in all events and a 2-time state finalist. Now in college, Amanda continues her swimming career while studying pre-dental biology, hoping to one day become an orthodontist with a focus on pediatrics.

Coach Caden has been a swim instructor for over six years now!
He loves working with children and aims to ensure their safety and happiness throughout the lesson. He enjoys assessing each swimmer and creating a learning environment that promotes growth and accomplishes the swimmer's goals.
Coach Caden is one of our most highly "sought-after" private swim lesson coaches.

Coach Krystle | Private Swim Lessons Coach | CPR/First Aid/AED
2024 will be Krystle's first year as a swim instructor at Worden Aquatics. She has a Masters in Elementary(K-6) and Special Education (K-12). This year will be her 8th year teaching and her third year as a special education teacher. Previously, Krystle taught pre-k, kindergarten, first, and second grade. She worked as a special education teacher's assistant for early childhood students with and without special needs. Additionally, Krystle was a preschool teacher for six years (ages ranging from infancy to pre-k), an after school teacher for eight years (ages ranging from K to 8th grade), students one-on-one for after school, and a homework helper for five years.
Krystle's aquatic journey started as a toddler and continued throughout her teen years as she participated in competitive swim teams.

Jeremy | Managing Partner | Business Manager
Jeremy spent many years working as a musician and tour manager with acts in country music. Jeremy retired from music in 2016 and runs the business side of Worden Aquatics.
Besides music, Jeremy has an extensive background in both business management and digital marketing, with focus areas including front-end web design, graphic design, and SEO (Search Engine Optimization).
Originally from San Diego, CA, Jeremy loves the water. When he's not working on WA, he's playing or listening to music or spending time with his family.
